Our home, Mount Pluto, is an extinct volcano. When it last erupted 2 million years ago, its lava and mudflows dammed what we now call Lake Tahoe. We’re thankful it created this unforgettable place. And rest assured, scientists confirm it shows no signs of becoming active again.
