Palisades legacy of ski culture dates back to the 1960 Winter Olympics. This spirit of adventure has driven countless professional skiers and snowboarders to call this mountain their home. Formally known as Squaw, the name was changed in 2021 to reflect today's values.
Located off Highway 89, between Truckee and Tahoe City, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Palisades is just 42 miles from Reno, 96 miles from Sacramento, and 196 miles from San Francisco via Interstate 80.
