Warm Storm for Whistler

By January 10, 2022No Comments

Summary

Not much activity for the CONUS this week as the Northern Pattern is underway. The next system for anywhere, other than the PNW, will be Thursday night and Friday when a small wave comes through.  We will talk more about that system later.

Today and Tonight

PNW

A small band, from the Gulf of Alaska storm, moves into the Seattle area tonight and tomorrow.  Not much snow, 2-4 of wet Cascade Cement.  Warm temps in the low 30s with the usual wind.  High snow levels (6-8000).

Next System Friday

This next system takes a northern track from Vancouver BC to Wyoming and Northern Colorado.  Last time thru, back in Nov, there were small totals at Summit County, while Canada had big totals.  We will watch this storm mainly to gage the strength of the systems coming thru in this part of the cycle.
