Forecast Discussion
Snow showers today for the northern Cascades, spreading to the southern Cascades this afternoon. The best snow will be in Washington as temperatures and snow levels are lower. Expect 4-8 for the Northern cascades and 1-2 south.
The storm is moving southeast, through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, before turning Northeast at Colorado and splitting into an upper and lower system. That lower system gets cutoff giving the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles an early winter storm.
This is not a big producer for Colorado, as you can see from the chart. Will get a better sense of what’s going to happen once we get a little closer and can use the high resolution model.
The next storm follows Friday and Saturday. It seems like the models are trying to figure out a solution and have yet to come to an agreement.
