The storm has been good to the Pacific Northwest. Mount Hood has two day storm total of 14 inches. Whistler had 5” officially, and over a foot at the peak.
Short Term Forecast
The present system will wrap up this afternoon and then it’s onto the next, a fast-moving storm for the Canadian Rockies. The Canadian Rockies will see back, to back, to back, storms the next few days.
The first set of predictions will come out December 1. This is a really interesting pattern this year. It has shifted sense August and September and appears to be set.
This is a longer cycle than last year is 48 1/2 days. It’s really a tale of two parts. A northern part that is mostly Canadian, and an Southern part for the northern and central Rockies.
As always thanks for spending time reading the blog, next update will be Friday. Mike
