2 Day Snow Totals by Region

Summary

November 13 Storm on Test Predictions

Temperatures have cooled off in the Pacific Northwest with deep totals for Canadian resorts Whistler Blackcomb, Revelstoke, Sun Peaks and Banff Lake Louise.  In the Cascades, 3-6 inches for Mt Hood, Mt Bachelor and Stevens Pass.  Snow will continue today for the aforementioned resorts as the system spins south, southeast and will bring more precipitation to Lake Tahoe tonight.  Expect another 3-6 for the Cascades today with snow levels at 4000 ft.

Overnight tonight, expect 3-6 or 4-8 for areas along the Crest (Sugar Bowl, Palisades, Kirkwood) with 1-3 or 2-4 for everywhere else.  Tomorrow, snow continues, and the temperatures drop with another 4-8 likely for the favored resorts.  Absent from this storm are the strong winds, so it should be a good storm to ride.

Tomorrow Night/Utah

The storm moves into Utah Tomorrow night and is looking good enough to bring another 6-12 for the Cottonwood resorts by Saturday.  Snowbird is open to uphill and will open for the season on November 28th (Thanksgiving).

Hi Mike – I just signed up for FutureSnow and looking forward to your insights. My wife and I have booked flights to Colorado (January 5-11th). We are passholders to both EPIC and IKON. If there’s snow, we would like to stay in the Breckenridge area and ski the mountains in the area (Breck, Keystone, Copper, ABasin, Vail). What are your thoughts on snowfall in that area? We can change our flights and do not have lodging as of yet. Would like to stay in that area if the conditions are acceptable. I understand I might be asking this question a bit early (outside of your 30 day window).
    Thank you – Bob Sweeney

Hi Bob thanks for joining the club! You are going to have a great trip. Those dates are during the active part of the pattern and there will be several storms rolling through. That is a great area to stay, we have a place in Breckenridge and love the area. Send me an email and I will give you detailed info on your trip. It is free and part of our Ski Concierge service. Thanks again, Mike
