Going to be in Vail March 21-25. Are you still anticipating a March 20-22 storm even with the upcoming heatwave? Or will those days likely get pushed out after the front
There should be storms, last cycle they produced double digit numbers over an 8 day period. In the first cycle they were weak and averaged half of that over the same amount of days. What will it be this time through? I would say somewhere in the middle. They look to begin on the 22-23rd on the models as of now.
I will be there too, my sons spring break, so hopefully the snowpack holds up thru the heat!
The storms that should have hit Vail are going to miss to the north–The jet stream has retreated, which usually does not happen until late April or early May. Sorry for the bad news, it still could sneak in, but it won’t be strong.
