Test Predictions out Next Week
Arapahoe Basin to open tomorrow at 8;30. I thought this was the likely date and Derek Shores sent me this from 9 News.
It’s official. This was the post from Als Blog yesterday. No word yet on Loveland. I wouldn’t be surprised if either resort opened for a few hours this afternoon.
Below is the High Resolution HRRR Model
Below are the Temperature and wind charts. Remember, subtract 7 hours from Zulu Time (GMT) in the upper right corner. Click to animate.
Model agreement still in place. The highest totals appear to be for the central and northern mountains. Below is the snowfall amounts I posted yesterday. I’ll stand by them–they still look good.
Snowfall Amounts
Vail/Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper, Winter Park in the 8-16 range
Arapahoe Basin, Loveland in the 12-20 range (I bet A-Basin opens Saturday afternoon or Sunday)
Aspen/Snowmass in the 6-12 range
Telluride, Wolf Creek, and Silverton 5-8, Steamboat 3-6
