Snow continues today for the west with lite snow showers in the PNW, Lake Tahoe, Utah and Colorado. Heavy snow tonight for Lake Tahoe and the Cascades, as a strong wave moves ashore late today producing 1-2 feet for the Sierra and 6-12 for the Cascades.

The energy gets zapped as the storms move east; however Alta has a good start with close to 6″ overnight with another 2-4 likely as the storm moves out around lunch.
2nd Wave Saturday with another 2-4 during the day and 6-10 overnight for the Cottonwoods.

Colorado will have three waves over the next 5 days, that each one on their own is nothing to write home about, taken all together, there should be 6-12 for the northern and central mountains, and hopefully more. Snow showers this afternoon with 1-3 likely for the northern and central mountains.
2nd wave tomorrow night, 3rd wave Sunday.
