October Rolls In

Well, here we are, the leaves are changing, there is a chill in the air and snow is just starting to fall.  Back in 2017, Steamboat had 6 inches of snow on their summit snow cam.  That year we were on a 48.5 day cycle, meaning that about every 48.5 days the storm that produced that snowfall would return.  Here are the results below of what happened.

FutureSnow 3rd Season
This is the basis of what we do at FutureSnow. That was one storm of many that would recur that season.  Our technology has improved dramatically since then.  We have added computer modeling and improved algorithms to assist us in forecasting.

This is our 3rd season, we look to continue improving and bringing you new features, but most importantly, it is the forecasts that count.  If you have a trip and need to know when to plan it–we are your source.  We are the only long-range forecasting company on the planet that forecasts, over 30 days out, with an accuracy level near 90%.

YOU already know this.  Thats why you are here.  We need your help in spreading the word.  There are a lot of costs that go into this site and in December we will be charging a fee for this service.  It will be small and much cheaper than our competitors, but it is necessary to continue to bring you the stoke.

What spawned out of our desire to ride powder, became a hobby and now a obsession.  It is so much fun bringing you this technology.  It is amazing what it can do, and only a handful of people in the world have harnessed it—someday soon it will revolutionize forecasting. For now, you get a preview into the Future.

Please help us get the word out so that we can grow.  Find our page on Facebook and Instagram (search FutureSnow) and like our page.

Thanks for reading the blog!  Mike
